Default Factions: 1 Healer Henchman without Protector

Okay, I haven't got very far in Cantha using my character from Tyria, but base on my experience doing Vizunah Square mission with only one healer henchman without a protector henchman or another healer was nearly impossible. Same problem for some of the quests around The Marketplace.
What was Anet thinking putting only a healer henchman without a protector henchman? Plus the healer henchman was much worse on healing than the one in Tyria. Are they trying to force players to join up with other players for mission/quest instead of teaming up with henchman? I know they are using Spirit henchman as somewhat of a replacement of a protector henchman, but using a spirit to redure damage is not nearly as good as using protective spirit also a protector henchman provided some healing skills as well unlike spirit henchman.

Maybe Anet is forcing players to improve their aggroing skills? So far I have had zero trouble with only haveing a single monk henchy. And I'm a ranger going all dmg+evade with just about 0 party support. Seriously, lvl 20 enemies are not that difficult. And later in the game, there's 2 monk henchies available. Don't worry about it. Now that I mention it, in some areas there are ~16 henchies to choose from. I'm still hopeing to put together my dream henchy team: 2 healers and the rest rangers. Ranger henchy spike ftw.

Assuming their AI is smart enough

i did it with 1 real monk and a henchie monk a earth henchie and the rest were wammos (including myself) And we plowed right through the mission. Spirit henchmens take place of the prot henchmens i think... Been working for me.

Well I won't know if the ai is good enough untill I try. Assuming that their ai would be fairly similar, they will probably attack at about the same time. Henchies are usually pretty good at going for the called target at the same time. Atleast at the start of a skirmish when there aren't larger threats to mess with their heads. But, all this is pointless speculation unless there is indeed a location with 5 ranger henchies. (doubtful, but one can hope!)

The spirit henchman acts like a sort of prot, and the earth henchman casts wards.

Both of those make up for the lack of a prot monk.

Later on its fun to get "Healer, Spirit, Fighter, Healer, Spirit, Fighter, Earth, YOU"

In those few outposts with two selections of henchmen. As long as you have decent damage output, that entire area will be a piece of cake.

the protector shows up later... Don't worry. Think of the areas without her as areas like around lions arch... cept with more powerful creatures. but thats why all teh other otptions... I mean 2 warriors 2 assassins 2 rits, basically 2 of everything. and rits KINDA server as a protector. depends on which one you bring actually... In any case I have seen the Protector Hench later in the game...

You're intended to use the Rit hench as prot/damage.

and for some odd reason I keep calling this guy's spirits totems.......

Aggroing skills don't do anything for Vizunah Square.

The problem with the ritualist hench, or any other with prep skills, is that they won't prepare before you actually aggro mobs. It would be nice if you could have the ritualist cast spirits first before you pull.

Any time you stop and stand still for more than about 10 seconds they will drop any recharged spirits.

Vizunah Square can be done with just henchmen. I just finished completing it with an all henchie team, and the other guy (a lvl 14 assassin) brought an all henchie team as well. In some ways it's easier because you can (mostly) count on the henchies to follow your targets. The big key to this mission is targeting in the right order. When it comes to the Afflicted, my target order of choice is Rt, Mo, Me, E, R, N, As, W. Stick to that and you should be okay with henchies.

Jamei has no Divine Favor.
her signet of devotion is just 2 wasted seconds.

the problem with vizunah (coop mission) is that it was designed for two parties of 8 - a tyrian group coming with mhenlo and another group from cantha spawning with master togo as it seems. when i was attempting the mission without having real players from the local quarters i was always able to reach master togo with 6-8 henchmen alive (including sister tai who makes a good healer hench compared to jamei). and when you shield togo and mhenlo on their kilroy-tour while having some blood wells things turn out to be a killingspree. it isn't that hard.

problems occur when 1-few real players from the opposite quarter are messing up their henchmancontrol / things in general... it is bitter to see togo die before you even reached him, but it happens - return to outpost, enter mission.

another problem is the healer hench tries to resurrect right in the middle of battle
there is a prot hench in later areas and the ones dont have a prot should have a ritualist which seems to do a good job filling in the prot slot

I'd strangle Taya, the noob henchman, but that would preclude my killing her by lighting firecrackers and putting them in her (deaf) ears.
